San Augustín

Our next stop has been San Augustín which is about 6h by bus from Neiva. We probably stayed at my favourite hostel so far with lovely rooms and very nice people:) The landscape in San Augustín is beautiful and you can find avocados, coffee, lulo, passionfruit, … all over the place🥰San Augustín is famous for its archeological statues left by indigenous people. Besides some hikes around the parks, I also did a tour with horses with an older Colombian guy named Carlos. Carlos does not only know every plant in San Augustín but also every person living there since he is a very talkative and open guy. After the tour I had coffee with his family and purchased some handicrafts done by his cousin, imitating the archeological stones.Read more
