Supposedly the widest single drop falls in Australia. Also discovered wrens aren't always blue!! This is a Red Backed Fairy Wren.

After 5500 kms of outback roads, we are on bitumen heading away from the falls to Atherton. The road is narrow with not much verge and quite busy with trucks and cars. The pothole was unavoidable, the camper was bucking like a bull!
We got a tow tray, the suspension broken and brake cable cut. We will be in Atherton for a few days as we get it sorted out.
Staying in an Airbnb not far from where the van is getting fixed.Läs mer

Great low cost camp on private property just East of Normanton. $8 per person per night, flushing toilets and a great hot shower. On Saturday we went to the "homestead" for the Camp Shindig $6.50 each for a 3 course meal, Pea and Ham soup/Damper, Roast Beef and Veg/Gravy, Sponge with Raspberry Sauce and Custard. Bring your own everything like plates, cutlery, table etc.
There where a lot of people at this camp that have been staying here for the last 20 years and they stay for the 5 months over the dry season.
Seen our first Salties, netted a Cherabin and used it to try for Barra (Water too cold apparently).

Heading out from Boodjamulla (Lawn Hlll) Backtracking down dirt roads back to Gregory, then on bitumen roads for a visit to Burketown before heading for the next free camp at Leichhardt Falls.
