Ku Sungula

Another early rise to get a morning safari in for us on our last day. The weather was changed again, with a cold and windy day following our 40° day before.
This safari was one to remember - with hyenas, a running rhino, and a pride of lions. Whilst viewing a ‘kill’ from the night before, we saw a pride of lions 300m ahead of us. John (guide) raced ahead to put is right in the middle of them as they walked along and lied down for a nap. As if being within 3m of them wasn’t crazy enough, he tried to provoke the lions to stand so other less fortunate tours could see them too. Lennox also loved showing the lions his own toy lion whilst roaring at them!
Satisfied with our safaris and Rory and Lennox now loving the trips, we headed back for our cooked breakfasts before heading to the flight to Cape Town.
We finally met Emily and Amos at the airport, and were stoked to see how well they were doing. A few hugs, tears, and custom routes to avoid townships later, we headed to our beachside lodgings and had some pizza before catching up on some sleep.Read more
