Salamanca chasing the sun

Today has been a travel day 260 miles south of the coast.
Passed some vineyards and many mountains and big churches along the way.
Stopped off in Palencia for fuel and shopping. Look at those hams for sale in the supermarket !
We then stopped for a picnic French style with table cloth and cakes !
We have arrived at the campsite - it’s a bit rough and ready but has a nice pool and bar on site along with a bus into the city. We will go and explore tomorrow and for now Jim is having a snooze after a well earned beer and I am finishing my book with a rum and coke !Read more
