Scarbs with the boys

#TinyLift! We'll soon discover this lift has a quirk in that if the person at the top or bottom calls for it while it's in motion, it IMMEDIATELY tries to return, causing a battle between the people inside and outside the lift frantically pushing the buttons. Dan bravely discovers if you press the big red STOP button it stops the commands outside overriding ours. Added a healthy dose of drama to the days.Leggi altro

So we had waited until 4pm for the free afternoon cake to be served at the hotel and a coffee, but we didn't really factor in how far away the train station was from us (spoiler: far) and how often the dog would stop to sniff (spoiler: every 5 seconds). What followed was a panicked run with intermittent picking up of Clay and running to get to the station before the final departure. This all seems reminiscent of running to the Green Day musical, or running to the bus station in London, which we unfortunately missed. But not this time... we got there, albeit hot and sweaty. Plus we managed to get our free cake, so that's the important thing here.

Train was cute! Took us via the open air theatre where Keane would be playing that weekend. Didn't stay too long on the other side as it was the last train back.Leggi altro

Having run all the way to the other side of Scarbs, we thought we'd take a risk and track down the open top bus. Mustering all of our navigational skills we tracked down the bus stop and boarded the bus for free thanks to a very nice driver.Leggi altro
