The best things are worth running for

So we had waited until 4pm for the free afternoon cake to be served at the hotel and a coffee, but we didn't really factor in how far away the train station was from us (spoiler: far) and how often the dog would stop to sniff (spoiler: every 5 seconds). What followed was a panicked run with intermittent picking up of Clay and running to get to the station before the final departure. This all seems reminiscent of running to the Green Day musical, or running to the bus station in London, which we unfortunately missed. But not this time... we got there, albeit hot and sweaty. Plus we managed to get our free cake, so that's the important thing here.

Train was cute! Took us via the open air theatre where Keane would be playing that weekend. Didn't stay too long on the other side as it was the last train back.Read more
