Traveling and arrival

Edit: I completely forgot to say the purpose of this trip! We are traveling for two months in Thailand, Indonesia, and India to visit four of our exchange kits that we hosted in recent years: Title in Thailand, Clarissa and Refina in Indonesia, and Akhilesh in India.

We had a 30 hour flight including transit times to get from Eugene to Seattle to Tokyo and then to Bangkok. Just arrived early this morning around 5 AM into Bangkok, with very little Sleep in the meantime! Title met us airport and set me up with a SIM card for local data And then we took a cab back to his family’s apartment in Bangkok.

A note about our airline: we took the Japanese airliner ANA, which stands for All Nippon Airways, for the first time . We flew economy premium because if I don’t get at least a little sleep on those long fights, I start feeling really sick and I figured the larger seat in the premium section would make it easier to get some sleep. It worked I guess, I slept about an hour on each flight, but the ANA airlines were really interesting, they had a Pokémon theme going, which you’ll see in the pictures.

Finally had a chance to shower and now getting ready to go have a short day on the town before we get a good rest.Leer más
