Afternoon at Etretat.

Leaving Bayeux we are driving over to Etretat to spend the night.
We stopped in at Honfluer thinking it would be a quiet little fishing village and so did 10000 other people. We managed to find a park and had a delicious seafood lunch and a lovely chat to the French people beside us.
WOW I don’t think there are any quiet villages on the coast anymore, Etretat was crazy busy. The streets are so narrow and cars parked everywhere. We decided to find some accomodation and come back in later this evening in the hope that most of the day trippers have gone home.
That plan worked reasonably well and it was a lot quieter on the shore front. The cliffs we had come to see are gorgeous. Especially in the evening light.
We climbed to the top of the South cliff for some amazing views and then headed down for a lobster dinner. Czytaj więcej
