    It was all about the old city of Jerusalem today. God sent me Nathan to mark the territory of where I am and where I wanted to be. I had breakfast at the hostel and asked a lot of questions. I bought a walking ticket to scale the old walls of the city and set out to accomplish just that. A light sand has managed to blow in from Jordan. Mid 90's with high humidity .Read more

    I found a Skectures shop, speedos, the children shop. Big city with a lot of people and noise. Abd found the ice cream shop close by

    The day was all about town. I met up with the soup kitchen people. They don't need a lot of volunteers right. I'll be volunteering on Thurdays.

  • Day 11 Soup Kitchen

    Today I worked at the soup kitchen from 10-2 and had lunch there and had chicken and rice. No problem getting there but 1 hour delay getting back. I'm getting a little rest before I go back out looking for fruit at the market place.Read more

    Made a visit to Israel's Bible store. Then continued a walking tour around the old city outside of the walls. I started at the "New Gate" and crossed by "The Mount of Olives" and Arab and Jewish cemetery.
    And passed by Arab and Russian, Jewish and Christians sections of the wall. Went to a museum looking at some creative restoration work being done

    Walked again the Via Dela Rosa. Narrow Streets, some filled with merchants wanting to sell their. Worse than Mexico on that one.

  • Day 7 Sunday Sabbath

    Went to Christ Christian Church in Jerusalem this am. "Time to make peace, repent and love your neighbor. God's judgment is coming" Quite inspiring.
    The church was beautiful and the praise songs so lovely echoing off the stone walls. About 30 people there singing some songs in English and some in Hebrew. Some I knew, some I did not know. The spirit of the Lord was very present.Read more

    Spent the afternoon at Mitchell Park being a people watcher. Lots of families with 6 and 7 children. Children playing in the piped in water and the fountains. It is 83 with a light wind, very comfortable.Read more

    My stay in Jerusalem has been the Post Hostel for a month. 9 other women in the same bunkroom.

  • Day 9 Night Life

    Had a fabulous day! Successfully took a public bus transport to center of town to work with an international bank and finally got some money to hold me for. I was cared for by an Arab Angel and made it back to the hostel without incidence. I'm proud of me. God is taking good care of me. After dinner I sat out in the town square listening to live music and eating my ice cream cone. Life is good!Read more
