Woke to an overcast but dry morning.
Walked the Kuta loop up the main drag and along the beach. We bumped into Ayu on the beachfront.

A lazy day in Kuta

Went for a morning walk around the airport loop.
Had breakfast, then sat by the pool.
A late morning shower had us ducking for cover in the Jepun Bar.

Today was basically a day by the pool.
We had some good sun and made the most of it.
Ari and Danny met us at 10 am, and we purchased some more Sketch Dream clothing.

Serangan Turtle Centre

Kadek picked us up from Risata at 9am to take us to Candidasa.
On the way we stopped at Serangan Turtle Conservation and Education Centre.
Hatten Wines

Kadek suggested that we could stop at Hatten Wines to have a look and do a tasting.
We didn't take much convincing.

Arrived in Candidasa around 1.30pm.
We had lunch at Loaf with Kadek and then he dropped us off at our accommodation - Sagara.
The room is lovely but the pool area is small and a bit crowded.

Went for a walk up and down the main drag before breakfast.
The breakfast at Sagara was very good in a lovely setting by the pool.

Afternoon and Evening in Candidasa

We went for an afternoon walk to look for somewhere to have a drink and a bite to eat.
We stopped at Crazy Kangaroo and had Bruschetta and Nachos.

Another day in Candidasa

Another great breakfast by the pool at Sagara.
We then walked to Candidasa Temple and climbed the steps for a great view over the village to the ocean.

Sunset and Vincent's

We had pre dinner drinks watching the sunset at Sagara, then walked to Vincent's restaurant for an amazing meal in a restaurant with fantastic staff.

Jenny found a secluded little spot on the beach in front of Pandan Restaurant.
We spent a couple of days there from mid-morning to early afternoon including lunch.
Candidasa to Amed

Another lovely breakfast, and then we packed ready for a Midday checkout.
We sat by the pool for a while then went across the road to Wacky Jacky's for coffee and cake.

Went for a morning walk up the street and back and had a very nice breakfast at Salt.
Had some pool time and then walked about 15 minutes to get Jenny's finger nail fixed, but there wasn't anyoneWeiterlesen

Had a very nice breakfast again at Salt, then went for a walk up the main street to Seamount, cutting through to the beach and back to Salt.

We woke early due to a crap night's sleep with dogs barking but were rewarded with a beautiful sunrise.
We had a lightish breakfast at Salt, packed and checked out.

Taman Tirtagangga Water garden.

Kadek suggested we stop and look at the Taman Tirtagangga water garden on the way back to Kuta.
It's something we hadn't heard of before, and we're glad we made the stop.

Rain continued all night and throughout the day. Not just a shower or two, tropical downpours.

The overnight rain created havoc with the roads around Kuta, causing flooding.

It rained all night again.
Roads around Kuta were flooded again.
We met Richard and Kendra at Nuka for breakfast at 9 am.

We had to pack up and leave our room and move to another room for the day as our room was needed.
