An Irish Goodbye

Today we decided to take a day trip to the UK - I mean, Northern Ireland. We got up nice and early for a bus from Dublin to Dunluce castle where we stopped shortly before heading to the Giants Causeway.

The Giants Causeway was amazing, strange hexagonal columns that formed 50 million years ago when pooling lava touched the sea and cooled down. We spent a good amount of time here where we did a little hike where a part of the path was blocked off due to landslides.

We then headed to the 'dark Hedges' which is a road of trees planted in the 18th century and which now cross over at the top creating an archway.

We ended the day in Belfast where we enjoyed a pint at a pub and the Christmas markets at city hall.

The tour guide today was very fun and also explained a lot about the history of Ireland/ Northern Ireland and "The troubles"

When we finally got back to Dublin we enjoyed some Chinese for dinner before preparing for our flight tomorrow!
