    DFW seems desserted.....Maybe this is not a banking period? Especially Terminal D which is international arrivals and departures. I feel like I am developing DVT and just needed an aimless walk around the terminal. When I walked to D from A where I arrived from LAX, I was the only person walking the connecting bridge between them - everyone else catching the terminal train - and I can tell you a large proportion of those people sure needed a walk.Read more

    LAX T4 Flagship Lounge

    I was worried about arrival into and transit in LAX. But when we arrived there was only one Qantas and one CX plane. SO no crowds, and as we walked down into immigration i popped into the US citizens/ESTA queue, did the kiosk, then also had to go to an officer (kind of defeats the purpose does it not?) and was out in 10-15 mins. And TBIT now looks so different, so modern, They have really done a great job with the renovation. What used to be a horrid airport is now quite the joy. Also tried the FL checkin at T4 AA - had to explain the front door bitch why i was entitled. Experience quick and good - you get accompanied upstairs and to the front of the priority queue and hearded through without waiting.

    A couple of shots of my new trusty backpack (in front of my ride to SCL and with trhe tarmac in the background) - i'm really liking it - although it has so many pockets and i'm still not used to it I end up having to open every pocket before i find what i am looking for.    Read more

    Having dinner... Chileans eat late... Like 10. So I got hungry around 7 and could not find a place open from my online search. Ended up walking around till I stumbled upon this place inside a courtyard off the street.... Really good ceviche (was warned by the waiter that it was spicy - and i said "bring it on" ...or the closest spanish phrasing i could muster). The salmon tariyaki (there is a big japanese theme here in restaurants - more than I expected) was ok - but i am no fan of taeriyaki - as it's too sweet for "my pallette".Read more
