Coldplay at Hampden Park

We arrived at our site in Strathclyde Country Park mid afternoon and called a taxi as soon as we got there, to take us to Glasgow Central train station where we would be catching a train to Hampden Park, after getting a bite to eat. However, once back at the station, the queue for the train stretched out of the building and down the street! Fortunately, we were able to persuade an Uber driver (illegally) to drive us to the venue. Poor chap had a terrible stutter although, interestingly, when he spoke in his own tongue on the phone, his stutter disappeared.

We managed to get a spot quite close to the front and couldn’t believe that Rich bumped into Jonty and Kathryn so that we spent the concert with them. We thought the show was amazing and surpassed all expectations. We were lucky to see London Grammar as support too, who were also fantastic…particularly Hannah Reid’s voice.

Kathryn insisted on driving us back to our campsite, despite our protests. We were stuck in traffic for ages, as we’d feared and we were hugely grateful to them. Czytaj więcej
