The White Mountains Range represents the edge of the Cooper Ck basin. Any water falling west of this range flows south all the way into Lake Eyre, South Australia.
Looking green! I am told by relatives that it's freezing in Winton at the moment.

Gail Woodward It's not expected to get above 22 degrees in Hughenden today although it is already 19 degrees now. 49mm of rain overnight recorded at the airport.
