Akaroa is a small seaside town on the Banks Peninsula with an interesting French history which has left a legacy on the town's culinary scene and many of the street names.
This former French settlement was founded in 1840. However, the English returned before the French and claimed the area for Britain. The French and British then shared the picturesque location.Læs mere
