All about motorbikes

Today I was the star of the show when I joined around 80 other old motorcycles from Italy and Malta for a lovely ride in the countryside. I got many congratulations and countless photos taken of the bike and me. Word had got around that I had ridden from England.
It was very well organised day with police closing all round and roundabouts as we arrived. A breakdown truck followed just in case. We went to a site of archeological interest for a guided tour explaining how the many caves were lived in for centuries until not long ago.
From there to Pozzallo where right next to the ferry to Malta is a magnificent restaurant where we spend around three hours. As we left I swapped bikes with one of the police for photos.
The ride back to the hotel seemed long after such a big meal and I had my first rain in the last ten minutes.
Tonight is the gala dinner hosted by the Sicilians. Then tomorrow a ride, then a three hour lunch then we ride to the ferry.Weiterlesen
