BMW GS 1250 to Malta

I have arrived.
According to my bike I have traveled 3175klm= 1973 miles. I had two days not riding since leaving UK eleven days ago. The bike averaged 56 miles per UK gallon or 23.8klm per litre. It used no oil.
The cheapest fuel by far is here in Malta so I wish I had not filled in Italy. The weather has varied from snow to hail to rain to the highest wind I've ever experienced. My clothing performed really well, I never got wet and only once got cold and that was totally my fault.
I only ever once paid cash for anything. A coffee. Mostly contactless card payment and sometimes I needed to put in my pin. I like this as my bank messages me immediately after every transaction telling me the cost in euros and in pounds.
The bike will get a good cleaning in the next few days as it is filthy.
It was never going to be an easy ride but I welcomed the challenge and enjoyed every minute except the scary wind.
My plan is to stay here a few weeks then fly home and return in late May to ride home via a different route. I'll start another find penguins journey when I do that.
