Hokitika Gorge

Before walking through the gorge we got chatting to a nice lady. Our original plan was to drive through Arthur's Pass to the east coast but after talking to her we decided to change our plans and travel down the west coast instead.

The Hokitika River is glacier water melt that is mixed with granite sand/dust causing it to have a milky appearance.Read more
