The Weta Cave

Weta Workshop is a special effects and prop company based in Wellington. Producing props for TV and film alongside directors such as Peter Jackson, Weta went on to work on The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit films. Weta hand crafted just under 50,000 individual pieces for Lord Of The Rings alone. They also hired a self taught blacksmith who hand forged all of the swords for the films.
