    Surf Highway 45

    Surf Highway 45, the 100 km long route around Taranaki's coast, connects Hawera in the South to New Plymouth in the North. It gets it's name from all the surf beaches in between.
    Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather for this route but it was beautiful nonetheless.
    We stopped at Kaupokonui Beach and took a picture of an Oystercatcher, Cape Egmont Lighthouse and saw the Wreck of the Gairloch.    Read more
