The local legend is that the ravine was named after a man named GudbrandIn the 1500s, he supposedly ran off with his new bride and saved himself from angry pursuers......by leaping over the ravine at its narrowest point.Gudbrand was declared an outlaw and spent the rest of his life in one of the vallies.The café.The roaring waterfall.Back to the bus...

    This morning, we went to Eidsdal on the bus, to take the diesel ferry which crosses the Norddalsfjorden to Linge. Once there, we stopped at Gudbrandsjuvet.
