    Randers, Denmark to Stavanger, Norway: The bus drove 1.5 hrs from the hotel to the ferry. We sailed at 12:15 from Hirsthals, Denmark across the Skagerrak and arrived at the port of Kristiansand, Norway at 15:30. We drove past some fjords, made a pit stop for ice cream, and arrived in Stavanger at 19:30; Norway's 4th largest city and one of its oldest.Читать далее

    7:00: Breakfast timeYoghurt with granolaSome sheep in the foreground and Geiranger in the distance.1We are in the clouds.Another hairpin turn but now we are higher into the clouds.These trolls are the keepers of the water system of Eidsdal.Here comes the ferry.On the ferry which is only a 13 minute ride.This section is for the cars but it is currently empty.Another ferry.A view of the Norddalsfjorden.The town of Valldal in the distance.Pitstop at Gudbrandsjuvet. The local legend is that the ravine was named after a man named GudbrandIn the 1500s, he supposedly ran off with his new bride and saved himself from angry pursuers......by leaping over the ravine at its narrowest point.Gudbrand was declared an outlaw and spent the rest of his life in one of the vallies.The café.The roaring waterfall.Back to the bus...

    This morning, we went to Eidsdal on the bus, to take the diesel ferry which crosses the Norddalsfjorden to Linge. Once there, we stopped at Gudbrandsjuvet.

    The sun is trying to come out.All the rocks are dead trolls, struck down by Thor and his hammer.The walkway to view the Stigfossen waterfalls.Troll on guard in the café.1Such clear, clean water!!Stairs going up... not gonna do it...A lookout point beyond the tree.Overlooking the road below which we came up.11The waterfall.The Norwegians call the stone structures Trolls, whereas Canadians call them Inukshuks.Trolls everywhere.Going down from Trollstigen.We made a pitstop at the dual streams of Låtefossen waterfall.1Monsie is having a bad day...1Some other visitors were here too... sheep left lots of evidence behind...Back to Angels bus but before we get back on......gotta check the shoes for sheep caca... good to go MonsieDon't fall over...1Yikes!     We left Geiranger at 8:00 and arrived in Lom at 9:50. We had free time to walk around town before going to visit the medieval church. Monsie ran to the WC which was locked. She found me on the bridge and we walked around the residential part for about 30 minutes, because the church didn't open until 10:15.Читать далее
