Nottingham Departure

The start of our 34 hour journey to Bangkok!
Heathrow

Just under 7hours before the flight - close one! 😵💫
Beijing Airport

Final stop on the way to BGK!
Bangkok, Baby!

Big fat temple/Palace day followed up by China Town!
Sukhothai

A lovely chill couple of days cycling around the ruined temples of the Sukhothai kingdom here and at Si Satchanalai. Really interesting history and my first Thai Green Curry actually from Thailand 🇹🇭
Chiang Mai

Cool place! Saw Elephants, bunch of cool Temples and some gorgeous food (made by ourselves in a cooking class obvs), and climbed up some waterfalls that look more dangerous than they truly were
Pai

Hippy Town! Rented a scooter and pooled around to see canyons, dip in hotsprings, go on hikes in the Frungle (part forest, part jungle).
Oh and apparently took almost no pictures myself - enjoy someMeer informatie
Chiang Rai

Just straight up been ill the whole tike we've been here. I just got better than Taylor got ill. Seems a nice place but I'm not sure we'll explore much before we head to the border into Laos
Huay Xai

Crossed the border into Laos! Became Laos millionaires (which costs about £38) and met a lady with aggressive sales techniques who sold us sandwiches for the 2 day slow boat to Luang Prabang andMeer informatie
Luang Prabang

A lovely trip to the original capital of Laos - a really interesting history and some fantastic old buildings and newish Temples. A trip to the UnExploded Ordinance museum was very interestingMeer informatie
Vang Vieng

Laos Hippy Backpacker Village! Lovely hiking and lagoons to be enjoyed. We were going to go hot air ballooning but they cancelled on us twice due to wind (they said I smelled too bad)
Vientiane

Not loads to do here despite being the capital - we found a tuk tuk tour with a VERY passionate guide who told us stories about Laos his Grandfather taught him.
Tahkhek

Came here to depart on our motorbike (technically a scooter) loop - all the bikes were booked so had to lay low for a day or so
Nakai (Stop 1 of loop)

After dodging trucks all day it was much needed to take a dip on a waterfall, see a bunch of caves and statues of buddha
Kong Lor (stop 2 of loop)

Our longest drive of the loop, had to be mindful of landslides and some nasty potholes - a lot of fun though. Only time for one cave and a view point but they were lovely. Our accomodation was an ecoMeer informatie
Nahin (Stop 3 of the loop)

Visited the biggest cave in Asia and we took a 7 km boat through another cave that connects two villages. The cave originally had monkeys living there that were hunted down by people loving nearbyMeer informatie
Nakai again (Stop 4 of loop)

Again, big journey back towards Tahkhek so only time for one stop. But oh my, what a stop. Zip lining and hiking across bridges and nets above a limestone forest with Monkeys and lizards (only saw theMeer informatie
Tahkhek (Loop complete)

Completed the loop! Incredible journey that inspired us to go and do another loop before heading off to Cambodia. A lot of laundry to be done first
Pakse Loop

We like the first motorbike loop we decided to do another! We weren't as big fans of this one, but it had its charms - our last stop in Laos before Cambodia and we have to say Laos was way better thanMeer informatie
Siem Reap

Obviously you've got to go and see Angkor Wat when you're in Cambodia - cool temple, but we preferred the Temples nearby where trees grow ontop, underneath and through the ancient brickwork.
We alsoMeer informatie
Battambang

Whistle-stop tour here to see the sights before we move on to Phnom Penh - went on a 'train' called the bamboo train that was used while the government shit down train services and is essentially aMeer informatie
Phnom Penh

Capital city of Cambodia, and the site of many very sobering visits. The killing fields and the prison where people were tortured - all happened in such recent history and was really interesting andMeer informatie
