Not loads to do here despite being the capital - we found a tuk tuk tour with a VERY passionate guide who told us stories about Laos his Grandfather taught him.
Came here to depart on our motorbike (technically a scooter) loop - all the bikes were booked so had to lay low for a day or so
After dodging trucks all day it was much needed to take a dip on a waterfall, see a bunch of caves and statues of buddha
Our longest drive of the loop, had to be mindful of landslides and some nasty potholes - a lot of fun though. Only time for one cave and a view point but they were lovely. Our accomodation was an ecoBaca lagi
Visited the biggest cave in Asia and we took a 7 km boat through another cave that connects two villages. The cave originally had monkeys living there that were hunted down by people loving nearbyBaca lagi

Completed the loop! Incredible journey that inspired us to go and do another loop before heading off to Cambodia. A lot of laundry to be done first
