Day 1 St John’s to Deerlake

Took the bus from Sr John’s to Deerlake today, welcomed by Barb & Harry Butt, long time paddling friends. Barb baked “Main River” cookies for the occasion, a special treat on our early Main River trips and subsequent paddling outings.
Completed some final packing for tomorrow”s drive to start of the peddling portion of the journey.

Today was neat as we passed numerous old railway stations. By example the trail remains in the community with a coffee house and accommodations within a minute walk from the old rail station.Okumaya devam et
