Morning exploring Mellieha

We walked up a very big hill to the small town close to our hotel. Arabella hitched a rude in mummy's back but Joseph walked the whole way (and didn't moan too much!)

We went to the beach this afternoon. Joseph and matt both had a swim in the sea! The kids build a road network in the sand and spotted a jellyfish. (mummy read a book 😁)
We caught the bus to Valletta which took about an hour but was very cheap and easy. We spend the day exploring the city. The children were very good and enjoyed an obligatory ice cream as a treat.

Such a stunning building. We had to rush through as the children have limited attention spans but they enjoyed spotting the ubiquitous Maltese cross!

This church was amazing. It has been visited by two popes and hasa whole area designated to miracles. This was full of letters and memorabilia from people who believed that had been cured afterLeggi altro
We continued our Gozo journey with a visit to the salt pans. The wind had sculpted the rocks and it felt like a moonscape. We had a lovely waterside lunch and then visited a cave which was found by aLeggi altro
