Afternoon on the beach

We went to the beach this afternoon. Joseph and matt both had a swim in the sea! The kids build a road network in the sand and spotted a jellyfish. (mummy read a book 😁)
Surprisingly beautiful Valletta

We caught the bus to Valletta which took about an hour but was very cheap and easy. We spend the day exploring the city. The children were very good and enjoyed an obligatory ice cream as a treat.

Such a stunning building. We had to rush through as the children have limited attention spans but they enjoyed spotting the ubiquitous Maltese cross!

We spent 10 minutes in the beach before getting the bus to the aquarium. And then stopped for a quick ice cream and a lay in the park afterwards.

We arrived to find Joseph and Arabella's holiday friends Harris & Malika in the departure lounge. They are all so happy to have another hour or so together and we have exchanged email addresses...

We have had such a lovely week exploring, making new friends, eating, drinking and enjoying the sun. Homeward bound now. 12 weeks until our next adventure!
