    Made it to the airport

    Late arrival at the Premier Inn last night after the kids enjoyed a swimming lesson at Sea Cadets until 9pm! After about 5.5 hours sleep we were up at 5.30 and made it through security.just sitting down for breakfast!Read more

    ...somewhere over Europe!

    The plane has free WiFi!! The kids both have their dinner. Arabella is watching Charlie and the chocolate factory and Joseph has found a series to entertain him.

    We took off directly over central London with clear skies. Spotted the London Eye, sky garden, the Shard and houses of parliament amongst other sites!Read more

  • Nearly there....Kuala Lumpur

    Good flight! Just over 12 hours, a few turbulence but nothing major. Fabulous and plentiful food and comfortable seats. Joseph got a reasonable amount of sleep, Matt got even more, Arabella did OK, I had a very broken 2 hours at best as the kids were tag teaming being awake!Read more

    A wonderful welcome at the hotel with cold towels and welcome drinks.our room was ready so we were unpacked and in the pool within an hour of arriving!

    The sea and pools are super warm and we struggled to get the children out!Read more

  • First dinner

    First dinner this evening at a small restaurant opposite our hotel cakes Walkers which is owned by a British guy and his Thai wife. Fabulous food with a thunderstorm backdrop! Followed by a very wet walk back to the hotel.Read more

    Beautiful breakfast this morning which we almost missed due to not waking up until 10am 😂
    Before we even reached the main at the pancake station, he had made bespoke animal pancakes for the children and decorated them.then he operated at our table with banana birds 😍Read more

  • Pool and beach

    Day spent by the pool and in the sea with a wonder around our part of town too.matt and the kids enjoyed some body boarding but no photos

  • Snorkeling

    3 snorkel spots, all beautiful, some more challenging than others. The kids did so well, with their swimming strength being muted by our fabulous guide and captain. We found Nemo!

  • Monkeys!

    These monkeys live on a protected peninsular but seem to enjoy meeting the boats

  • Lunch

    We stopped for lunch at a small floating Thai village sheltered within the mangroves. A lovely family served us delicious Thai food on a floating pontoon.

  • Khao Na Yak

    This 14 km beach can only be reached by boat. The boats approach from and moor in the mangrove lagoon behind and a short walk through the jungle reveals the beautiful white sand. We played in the super warm sea for an hour before heading to the boatRead more

    Sun loungers overlooking the beach today. The kids spent hours on the water, body boarding, paddle boarding and surfing! Plus a manicure for Arabella and massages for parents!

    A perfect evening meal on the beach

    We were just about to leave when the thunder started and we realised the ride had come in preventing us accessing our hotel next door! The alternative route was a 20 minute walk on the roads so we paddled through the sea and climbed up a wall and made it to our room just before the rain started!Read more

  • Monkey temple

    Another early start today and after a beautiful drive into the jungle we stopped at the monkey temple. The monks feed the wild monkeys as they are seen as sacred. These monkeys visit daily but leave in the evening to go back to the jungle.Read more
