Rodeo in Williams Lake

Best thing ever, we where allowed to go to the Rodeo which is 2 hours drive away. The restaurant was closed for the whole Saturday. We (Rumi, Lukas, Mat and I) decided to get there on Friday and spend the night. We got a tip from a local where it would be best to camp. To our surprise we were in the middle of a whole group of First Nation people. They did a 7 day cycling and horse riding trip to Williams lake to attend the parade. It was amazing besides the fact that I was knocking on car windows at 3 o’clock at night cause some of the horses escaped and we had to catch them. The next day I got a sticker and they told me to keep it close and if I need help at anytime I just need to go to some people and show them the sticker and they will help me.
Back to the rodeo, we decided to go on Friday to the live music event and also paid 20$ which was not a good idea. They stopped serving alcohol at 12:30 and closed down at 12:45. That much to going out dancing 😑 but the Saturday was fun with all the acts and the good seatings we were able to get. The boys and Rumi enjoyed it and it was their first Rodeo.Read more
