TravelerIt's crazy you're there during the power outage! That's crazy luck, for sure. (I watch Spain news for language learning and today they were talking about people needing to walk from stopped trains, and someone stuck on a train for 24 hours. So...glad at least you are stranded in one spot, and with friends? They also said power was coming back mid-day yesterday, sounds like it's back to full-go.) TravelerHonestly, the biggest blessing was the fact that we were staying at a friend’s condo. So we didn’t need to mess with lodging logistics. That gave us huge peace of mind. We managed to find a bus that got us back on track, but I was very worried for many hours that we’d be stuck for weeks as they tried to get the grid back up. That would have been very bad, we didn’t have cash or really any food/water to manage that sort of chaos. But I also got this vibe from the city that the Spanish people would make it work.
