TravelerI will follow your footsteps next May!
TravelerWonderful! Let us know if you have any questions!
TravelerThanks! I’ll be starting in Ribadeo, where I just ended in May. I’m wanting to stay coastal and stretch out or split long stages. Do you have recommendations on where to stay?
TravelerWe just used Booking.com. I think we averaged $80/night USD for 2. No one place really stood out… So definitely more expensive than a traditional Camino.

TravelerThank you! I will want to walk from Pontedeume and maybe Betanzos up to A Coruna to walk the shorter Ingles. I haven’t seen any routes to do this until your trip report. Really loved the Norte (Hendaye to Ribadeo) and Ingles from Ferrol. And I can’t wait to continue.
TravelerI walked the Norte in 2019 and it’s a lot busier than the do Mar. We didn’t meet a single pilgrim on the do Mar for the entire duration of the trek. Getting stamps can be hit or miss and accommodation is clearly more expensive. Sundays are quite tricky in several smaller towns as food options can entirely shut down for the day including grocery stores. We had to resort to gas station pizza on at least one day! Also we carried lunches on most days and dinner/breakfast on some. But this is just the logistics. It’s a beautiful and more rugged coast than the Norte.
