A walk out to Cow Head lighthouse and point. Cow Head was apparently named by Jacques Cartier, who saw a formation in the rock that apparently looked like a cow's head.
The lighthouse is diminutive. It was deactivated in 1988 and feel into disrepair. But the town repaired and repainted it so it looks like it did when active, even if it's now hidden behind a wall of trees.Read more
