A Trip into Edinburgh

Millie and I are off to Edinburgh today, while Karry & Graham do some exploring around the countryside here. Got to the train station only to find out they had cancelled the trains today. We weren't sure what to do but then they told us they were putting on some buses so we went and joined the queue for a bus. It was a bit of a wait but we persevered and got on a bus eventually. We had wasted a couple of hours but were still excited to see Edinburgh.

We had a lovely day exploring Edinburgh, we took the hop on hop off bus which was good and we jumped off at anything we wanted to explore. We got off at the Grassmarket stop and it was a lovely little area to look around and have lunch. This time we stumbled into the smallest pub in Ireland! They love records in Ireland but we had a great lunch here. We walked the Royal Mile and admired all the amazing architecture and loved the cobbled streets.

There were pink wigs and people dressed in pink everywhere and eventually we found out Taylor Swift was in town and having a concert that afternoon and another that night. There were a lot of excited people around.

The trains were going again so we got a train back to Stirling mid afternoon and Karry and Graham were at the train station to meet us. We'd all had a great day but a busy one.Read more
