    I gave the ABS a workout. Roughly 2 hrs each way from Munich in the snow.
    The King's Lake. A boat leads to a mid-lake chapel, a waterfall and numerous hiking trails.1We didn't pack crampons so we decided to enjoy the lake from the restaurant. Thems the breaks.The view was gorgeousThe room was warm and cosyThe food was hearty and homelyA brief lakeside exploration had given us reason to need warming up.1A slippery step that I wasn't prepared to takeI really wanted the last shot to connect. Bad parent.

    And Since We've No Place to Go

    Our last day before we start the journey home (assuming the train strike doesn't go ahead)..
    We hired a car for 24hrs so of course the clouds opened up... with buckets of fluffy, white snow! Driving issues aside, it meant that our day trip would be pretty. We chose to visit Lake Konigssee rather than any castles. It was magical.Read more
