    December 23, 2024 in Colombia ⋅ ☁️ 26 °C

Today we discovered just how varied the ecology is in Colombia. As we floated down the Rio Don Diego to its entry into the warm Caribbean Sea, we could lie back and see the snow atop the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountain range!
In the afternoon we had a meet n greet with 2 Arhuaco women who demonstrated their basket weaving skills and shared their stories. The humidity and lack of air conditioning didn't kill us after all! Onwards to Cartegena tomorrow.
