Change of Pace

Handed over the keys to Tiki and took the Class S14a #979 train from Ella to Kandy (about a 7 hour journey). This was a decision we made during planning and turned out to be the right one. We bought 1st class tickets so we had an air conditioned carriage for the very scenic journey but I spent the majority hanging out of the open carriage door watching waterfalls, forest, mountains, agriculture plots, tea fields and trains pass by (M6 #794, S14 #987, M6 #784, finishing with S12 #925). Kandy has a much different feel, Sri Lanka's 2nd biggest city but the traffic seems crazier than Colombo.
