Today we were up early and on the road, winding our way through gorgeous green hills and rows of rock fences. It reminded us of a patchwork quilt with different shapes and sections, some dotted with sheep or cows. I felt like I was on the movie set of All creatures great and small - well, we were! 👏
Our first stop was Fountains abbey and gardens.
Enjoying a coffee and scone along the way.
Look it up if you want the history. It’s over 1000 years old. It’s such a vast property with water gardens and incredible buildings in size and beauty. It’s been restored so accurately and the gardens maintained to perfection. We could have been there all day just soaking it in.
After that we headed into Pately Bridge and got some lunch, did a wander through the main town, visited the oldest lolly shop in the country.
We then checked into our accommodation and rested up for a couple of hours.
We had a planned catch up with Yvette who lives in this town. So wonderful to have a delicious dinner with her, hear her stories of the local village and meeting, talk prophecy and signs of the times and see her new home. A lovely lady 💗
We headed home about 10pm and after another 9.7km walking we are ready for sleeping!
