The Karen People are an indigenous hill tribe that reside in the mountains and cultivate rice on terraced fields.
The hike we undertook required a guide from the Karen tribe. Our guide 'Jack' led us on a downhill 1 hour hike, 1.5 hrs with stops for photos, which for a large part followed alongside the Mae Klang river and it's many waterfalls. On the way we passed a strawberry farm, terraced rice fields and coffee groves. At this time the rice had already been cut and harvested.
