So after the Napoli street Nightmare, we thought, “Let’s chill on the Amalfi Coast!” 🌊 Sounds dreamy, right? WRONG. The second I saw the swarm of cars, I had instant trauma flashbacks. 🚗💥 No way was I going to park my baby in that chaos—she’s survived Napoli without a scratch, and I’m not about to test my luck! 😬

So, what did we do? We speed through the entire Amalfi Coast like we were in a Mario Kart race. 🏎️💨 While my mom’s over there enjoying the scenic views, I'm laser-focused on dodging cars, scooters, pedestrians, and I swear, the random chickens on the road. 🐓 I’m sure it was beautiful, though. I think I caught a glimpse of the sea through my side mirror for like half a second. 🌊😂 #SoRelaxing

Now, here we are, in the middle of NOWHERE for 3 days. 🏝️ Absolutely zero plans except for strolling along the beach like some bored romantic novel characters. Maybe I’ll dig into the local history here—apparently, this place has some deep roots, like 2600 years of history or something. 📜 But honestly? I’ll probably just lie on the sand and question my life choices. 😆 #BeachBumVibes

The highlight of today? That bottle of wine I got from Nizza Monferrato 🍇🍷—remember that vineyard? Except, my saddle was apparently channeling its inner mechanical bull, tilting up, down, left, right... like a truly awful vibrator without the vibe. 🙄 How we both survived is beyond me! 😂 AND believe it or not, mom DIDN'T crap her pants in sheer terror – it's a miracle, people! 🎉 #MomSurvivalWin

Now, I’ve never seen someone so zen with cars whizzing past their elbow like it's nothing, but put her in the safety of an actual car? FULL. PANIC. ATTACK. DELUXE. 🚗💥 Go figure. But hey, mama’s brave heart was rewarded with gelato (because duh, Italy 🇮🇹). I opted for a granita, and let me tell you – YUM. 😋 We were both happy campers, licking our treats like we owned the place. 🍦✨

After that, we hit the beach for some nice and chill pig-roasting relaxation (aka, sunbathing). No major dramas there – just pure bliss. 🏖️ Now, we’re prepped and primed for a fancy dinner, and guess what? This time we actually know what time to show up: 7:30 PM SHARP. ⏰ No fashionably late fiascos tonight, folks! Review of Hotel Poseidonia Mare

I don't even know where to begin – the service at Hotel Poseidonia Mare is simply outstanding. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the warmth and kindness of the staff. The hotel is impeccably clean, and every detail seems to be taken care of with love and attention. I almost get teary-eyed whenever it's time to leave because it feels like saying goodbye to family.

Alessandro, the hotel director went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. He even drove me to post a letter to France, which was such a thoughtful gesture. It’s these little acts of kindness that make this hotel truly special.

The breakfast was exceptional, offering everything I could possibly want. Every morning, I was greeted with a variety of fresh and delicious food that left me feeling full and satisfied. The meals throughout the day were also fantastic – generous portions, rich flavors, and cooked to perfection.

What truly sets Hotel Poseidonia Mare apart is the heart and passion the staff put into their work. Every interaction is filled with warmth, and it’s clear that they genuinely care about making each guest's stay as pleasant as possible. It’s a place I never want to leave, and I’m already planning to come back.

So yesterday, on our EPIC mother-daughter Italian road trip, was VERY calm. I’m still waiting for the chaos to hit, like a storm lurking in the distance. But so far? Nada. Well, unless you count my fabulous shoes. 👠💁‍♀️

Listen, these are no ordinary shoes. These are THE perfect shoes, like, I’ve never felt so powerful strutting around cobblestone streets. I’m walking like I’m on a damn catwalk, feeling like an actual goddess. 👑✨ We head down this gorgeous (but definitely made-to-kill-you) staircase, and here I am, thinking I’m gonna keep up the sexy vibes. The stairs have this insane angle, though, like, was the architect DRUNK? 🤨🍷 Anyway, instead of sashaying down like some Instagram queen, I end up doing this weird crouch-walk, knees bent like I just crapped my pants. 🚶‍♀️😂 The people around us? They’re living for it, waiting for me to faceplant and give them a show. But no, sorry to disappoint folks—I’m a high heel pro. Not today, gravity. 💅😎

Post-staircase survival, we grab lunch, and I FINALLY get some nasal spray to banish my sinusitis to the seventh circle of hell. 🤧🔥 Seriously, my head’s been feeling like it’s about to blow up. Sinuses? Not cute on a road trip, let me tell you.

So after that, we head back for a nap. 😴 But, of course, there’s my mom—the tiny ballerina who cannot stay quiet for the life of her. 🩰🎻 She’s like a miniature orchestra every time I try to sleep. So now? Payback time. She’s been peacefully passed out, but I’m about to wake her up her way: by jumping on the bed and being as obnoxious as humanly possible. So, my mom and I hit the road for a six-hour drive because we had to take the “fun” route (aka get lost on tiny roads). I’m starving, so I kindly ask my mom to find a restaurant. Google leads us to one… and it’s closed. Damn you, Google! She finds another spot, and it’s a bar. I’m like, “Mom, I need food, not shots.” I’m hangry, and poor mom is just trying to survive.

We finally get to Foggia, circle the hotel five times because we’re blind, and I send her to check. She steps out, and boom, the hotel magically appears. We’re both idiots. At this point, all I care about is food.
FINALLY we get out to eat and I ask mom, “Wanna eat here?” Silence. I ask again, and she’s like, “No.” My patience is gone. We finally find a place, and I tell her about the local car theft warnings. Now she’s stressed out, eyeballing the door like we’re about to get robbed.

As soon as I finish eating, she’s like, “Let’s go,” speed-walking back to the hotel. She can’t relax for five minutes. Chill pill, mom, seriously.

Leaving Foggia was like a scene straight out of an action movie, but with more bags and fewer explosions. Well, actually, scratch that—there WERE explosions. Two huge, heart-stopping 💣💥 BOOMS rang out, and my mom’s face went pale like she was already planning her escape route. Let me tell you, she already hated that city, but after those bombs? I thought she was going to start digging a tunnel out of there 😂.

It got to the point where I was seriously worried she’d have a full-on breakdown. She was convinced we were in some sort of war zone, despite my best efforts to convince her that the locals probably didn’t even blink! But when the morning came? Forget nerves. I have NEVER seen my mom move that fast in my entire life. She packed her entire suitcase in 10 seconds flat—TEN SECONDS!⏱️ I’m pretty sure she could’ve taken on the military with that kind of efficiency.

“Hurry up, hurry up!” she YELLED, like a drill sergeant, while I was still fumbling with my shoes. I mean, come on, I hadn’t even finished my coffee ☕, and she was already halfway out the door, yelling orders like we were evacuating a battlefield 🏃‍♂️💨.

But once we were finally out of Foggia’s perimeter, it was like watching a balloon deflate in slow motion 🎈. My mom finally relaxed 😌. The tension evaporated as we hit the open road, and the city of Foggia shrank in the rearview mirror 🚗, along with her anxiety.

Later, we made a pit stop in Cupra Marittima for lunch, and wouldn’t you know it—my mom found the cutest, yummiest little restaurant 🍝. She was back in her element, calmly dissecting the menu like she was deciding on fine art 🎨. Hats off to you, Mom! From military-grade evacuation mode to gourmet food critic, she really does it all 🙌.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Shrimply the Best!"

If you haven't eaten at Koko Beach Restaurant, what are you even doing with your life? I had the shrimp ravioli, and let me tell you, it was so good I briefly considered adopting a second stomach. Each bite was like a mini vacation to the ocean, but, you know, without the sand in your shoes. My mom ordered the tagliatelle with cod, and judging by the look on her face, I think she’s considering leaving the family to follow her new love for seafood.

And don't even get me started on the bread and breadsticks. I’m convinced they’ve hired a wizard to bake those because they were magically addictive. I had to stop myself from filling up on them before the main course, but let's be honest—I failed.

The service? Amazing. The view? Perfect. The only downside? I can't live there.

Koko Beach is a must-visit if you're in the mood for a meal that'll make you question why you ever bothered cooking at home. 10/10, would trade all future pasta for another plate of shrimp ravioli.

✨ Italian Roadtrip with Mom ✨🚗

Okay, fam, let’s rewind a little bit and let me take you through the wild, food-filled adventure of me and my mom living our best lives in Italy. 🇮🇹💃

After driving for what felt like FOREVER, we finally checked into our hotel. Naturally, I took a deep breath to recover from the hours of driving—#NeedADrink, you know the vibe. So, out we go, ready to EXPLORE and literally 20 meters from the hotel (yes, 20 meters—not 2 miles, not 10 blocks, but RIGHT THERE), I spot this BEAUTIFUL restaurant, Chesa de Vein. It was like my entire soul was screaming, "THIS IS THE ONE!!" 😂💖

I turned to mom and was like, “We’re eating here tonight. It’s destiny” You know that feeling when your gut is like, "YES, DO THIS!" and for once in your life, you actually listen? Yeah, that was me. (Side note: if I could just listen to my gut like this with other things too 😂😂 #SomedayMaybe #FoodNeverDisappoints)

Before dinner, we hit up a cozy little bar and I was asking mom “What time is it??” approximately 100 times like a child waiting for Christmas morning. 🕰️⏳ Finally, the time arrived. GAME ON.

We walked into CHESA DE VEIN and omg, the whole vibe hit me like a warm hug from Italy herself. Everyone was like, “Buona sera!” with smiles and sparkling energy. 😍 It’s like they KNEW we were ready to be wowed. The service? 10/10. The food? LET ME TELL YOU.

✨ Parmigiana: Holy mother of tastebuds. I’ve eaten parmigiana all over Italy, and this one? IT. WAS. THE. BEST. Like, I swear, if I could legally marry food, this dish and I would be picking out rings right now. 💍🍆 And then, because why not, I also ordered chicken. It was so good I nearly wept. 🙏 #NoShame

Mom, on the other hand, ordered pizza and y’all, she had a MOMENT. I’m talking “best pizza of my life” level moment. 🍕 She was in pure pizza nirvana.

So last night, my lovely mama decided to treat me to a full-on orchestra. 🎻🎶 I swear she was channeling Hans Zimmer with her snoring – “A Prophecy Fulfilled” indeed...the prophecy being me not sleeping AT ALL. 🙃 I was this close to going full WWE and hitting her with a pillow or, ya know, casually pushing her off the bed... but NO. I stayed the kind, saintly daughter I am and just jammed my fingers in my ears instead. Guess what? IT DIDN’T WORK. 😩

Fast forward to this morning, my mom is all smiles after her beauty sleep while I’m over here running on fumes and spite. But I’m not jealous. Nope. NOT AT ALL. ✨🤞✨ We packed up and left Rimini (half-asleep, me at least), made a pitstop in Ravenna, which was cute AF. ☕ I grabbed a coffee and this weird little pastry, which I then forced Mama to try because #SharingIsCaring.

Now, we're in Chioggia – and let me tell you, trying to pronounce this town's name feels like I'm twisting my tongue into origami. 😂🤷‍♀️

Chioggia Adventures: The Saga of Me, Mom, and a Grandfather-to-Be 🌍

So, we roll into Chioggia (aka Little Venice because I’m too lazy to learn new names 🤷‍♀️), and the first thing that happens? We meet the most adorable old man at the hotel. Like, I’m not kidding—this guy was basically made of sugar and sunshine ☀️👴. He helped us check in, and I’m pretty sure I’m legally adopting him as my grandpa. He showed us to our room, which was so cozy it practically had a personality. If rooms could give you a hug, this one would’ve. 🛏️💕

After a brief nap (because travel = exhaustion x1000), we hit the streets to explore! 🏃‍♀️💨 By “explore,” I mean we walked about 10 minutes because the town is tiny, and also because I was starving after skipping lunch. I mean, who needs food when you’ve got Italian scenery, right? 😂 #Lies. Anyway, we start hunting for a restaurant, but SURPRISE, nothing opens until 18:30 or 19:00. Italy, why are you torturing me like this?! 😩🍝

So, what do we do? We head back to the room in our hunger-induced despair. Mom, who is now officially over this "I don't understand what anyone is saying" situation, gives up and turns on Swedish TV. Yup, Bäst i Test and the news from TV4. 🤦‍♀️ Like, really mom?! We’re in ITALY, and you’re glued to Swedish TV?!! But let’s be real, after last night’s Snore Symphony (starring MAMA), I needed some chill time too. 😴 #BästItest #Tv4 #SvenskTv

Fast forward to 18:30: IT’S DINNER TIME, and I’m basically sprinting to the restaurant because my stomach is auditioning for a horror movie. 🍽️💀 Mom, on the other hand, is living her best life, doing her little happy dance because she’s loving her food (AGAIN). 💃 Meanwhile, I’m sitting there like, “Yeah, it’s good, but it’s not yesterday's meal good,” because apparently, my tastebuds are snobs now and might just have stayed at Chesa de vein. 🙄 #ChesaDeVein

Oh boy, where do I even start? Day one in Venice was already like being dropped into a comedy sketch. Picture this: We arrive in Venezia, and the weather decides to turn into The Perfect Storm. My umbrella? HA! It gave up on life and decided to become a rebellious inside-out mess. Instead of protecting me, it flapped around like a fish out of water. I was soaked, but honestly, who cares when you're in VENICE, right?! This city is a labyrinth of beauty, mystery, and...water everywhere.

We’ve been eating like we’re in training for some sort of Italian food marathon. I’m stuffed. Like, I could be rolled down the street like a meatball. Honestly, I’m ready to be put on a Christmas table. If I eat another plate of pasta, I might just become pasta. But let’s be real, worth every bite!

Then there were the buildings—so many that my brain gave up on counting. Ancient, gorgeous, crumbling masterpieces around every corner. Every single street felt like a "wait, where are we?" moment. But getting lost in Venice? A delight! I mean, there's a gelato stand or a cozy little bar to duck into every 50 feet. And who can complain about being lost when there’s endless pizza, pasta, and prosecco?

Now, let me tell you about the “silent party” situation. This is where it got weirdly amazing. Picture this: a crowd of people dancing like no one’s watching, except it’s all...quiet. Everyone’s grooving to their own invisible DJ in headphones. It was absolutely bizarre, but 10/10, I’d do it again. Silent but deadly fun!

Speaking of parties, at San Marco, I somehow managed to request a song from the live musicians! Felt like royalty, not gonna lie. Music echoing through the square, me pretending like I wasn’t the center of attention. Casual.

We check into our hotel, and OH. MY. GOD. The receptionist? The cutest human alive. If there’s a contest for “Nicest Guy in Slovenia,” he already won. He’s giving us restaurant tips, cream cake recommendations, and his whole vibe just says, “I care about your food happiness,” which, let’s be honest, is all we need in life. So we set off for a stroll around this ridiculous fairytale lake 🌊—which, let’s be real, is just code for “prepping our stomachs for the sugar coma we’re about to enter.” After all, the cream cake awaits. Legend says it’s the best cake in town (according to our new best friend, the receptionist, so obviously, it's law now).

And the cake? Yup, it was good. BUT... I took one bite and was like, “Okay, cool, I'm good,” because, plot twist: I’m not a sugar addict like my mom. Meanwhile, she’s over here ordering a chocolate cake also. DOUBLE CAKE. She was ready for the sugar Olympics 🥇🍫. But then... even SHE couldn't finish either one! Bled’s cakes 2, Mom 0. So, picture this: Mom and I are cruising out of Bled, Slovenia, and suddenly—BOOM—Austria hits us with all the beauty. Like, seriously, this place looks like it was designed by a travel magazin or something. 🏞️ Every corner we turn is more epic than the last, and my mom is LOSING it. "STOP HERE! STOP HERE!" she screams...every five seconds. 😑

Me: "Mom, you can’t just stop at every tree that looks like it came out of The Sound of Music."🎶🌳

Her: "But LOOK at the MOUNTAINS! LOOK at the COWS! Do you SEE that random flower field??!" 🌸🐄

So, naturally, after enduring this for what felt like 10 hours (but was actually 10 minutes), I caved and pulled over in the middle of NOWHERE. 🚗🌍 She’s out of the car in 0.5 seconds, sprinting towards some field like it’s her own personal runway. Meanwhile, I’m just over here, praying this photo session buys me at least 30 minutes of silence. 🙏📸

Day 33 of the Epic Mom & Me Roadtrip: The Wien Wiener Debacle and Brno... Brn-who?!

Ah yes, just another casual day on the open road with Mom. 😎 Obviously, we had to stop in WIEN (because it’s Wien, duh) and eat ALL the "Wiener" foods 🌭🍽 – because that's apparently a requirement when you drive through Austria. First up: the "wienerschnitzel," which I was, of course, expecting to be life-changing. You know, like some golden, crispy masterpiece that would redefine my entire food existence. ✨ Well, it was... fine? 😐 Kind of like eating a glorified chicken nugget, but with extra disappointment sprinkled on top. 😩 Talk about a plot twist. The wienerhotdog? Meh, it existed. #NotImpressed #WhereIsTheFlavor

But Wien itself? OH. MY. GOD. 😍 Huge, beautiful buildings, practically screaming "Look at me, I'm cultured and historic!" 🏛💫 Definitely need more than 1.5 hours to pretend like I'm soaking in the culture. So, me and mom Finally made it to Brno (still can't pronounce it—BR-no, Bruh-no?? Anyone?? 🤷‍♀️). We're staying at this gorgeous hotel with EXTRA LARGE twin beds, because apparently, we're living our best life now. #SpoiledAndWeKnowIt 💁‍♀️ The beds were so comfy, we basically became human sloths and didn’t leave the hotel. That's right, we skipped sightseeing entirely. Why? Because who needs culture and adventure when you have a pillow that's practically hugging you back? 🙄 #PrioritiesAmIRight

After that EPIC nap fest, we headed to a castle in Poland because... road trip logic?? 💃 But then I was like, “Nah, I’ll come back to Czech and explore another day. Let’s keep the mystery alive.” 👀 I mean, we did technically take some photos while driving out of Brno, so that’s gotta count as exploration, right? #TravelGoals #TotallyNotLazy

Ohhh, the final night of our epic road trip saga, and where do we end up? A castle, of course! Because nothing says "road trip finale" like sleeping in a centuries-old stone building with subpar service and a ghost lurking around for ambiance. 🏰👻 I mean, sure, the room is cute, and yes, every proper castle MUST come with a complimentary ghost, but let’s talk about the real star of the show: THE FOOD. 🍽️💃 Thank the medieval gods the food was good, because if we had been served a plate of sadness, I would’ve walked straight out of this castle and hitchhiked home. 🚶‍♀️💨

🚗💨 Finally! After what feels like 84 years, we are ALMOST home from our grand European odyssey. Germany, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland... and now here we are, on the ferry from Świnoujście to Trelleborg, heading back to Sweden. I swear, if we drove any longer, I’d need a new butt because this one? FLAT. Like, flatter than the Netherlands from all the driving. 😂 #FlatAssFriend #PassengerPrincess

But guess what, people? I'M DONE. 🍷 Yeah, that’s right—I've made the executive decision to get drunk so my mom can’t force me to drive the last leg of this eternal journey. OMG, y’all, we survived, Barely. #FerryOfDoom 🛳️

Picture this: I’m all hyped to be the Passenger Princess 👑, right? But NOPE. Just as I’m rolling up with dreams of sipping overpriced ferry drinks and lounging, my mom’s anxiety kicks in at level 1000. And when I say kicks in, I mean she’s basically on some Captain-level boat-loading expertise out of nowhere. She’s suddenly the world’s leading authority on how they loaded this ferry like it’s her side hustle. 😳

I didn’t know this woman had boat-loading experience, but hey, learning something new every day! #FunFactOfTheDay ⚓️

So, I’m like, “Okay cool, we’re on. Time to chill.” But then: YOU'RE DRIVING OFF THIS FERRY, I CAN’T DO IT. And boom, her anxiety does an encore performance. 🙃 I’m sitting there like, Really, Mom? Really? Remember in Turin when you were convinced my cat scratched you and you had sepsis and were planning your extended hospital stay? 🙄 Now, we’ve escalated to this ferry is going to pull a Titanic/Estonia situation, and no, we’re not even joking about that. Fine, I’ll drive. 👸🚗💔

So guess who’s not having any drinks on this ferry? Yup. Yours truly. Because I’m basically a ferry-riding, mother-appeasing angel with no fun allowed. 🛑🍷

And to top it off, as we’re finally rolling off the ferry and just when I thought I could maybe breathe, the customs people stop the car in front of us, bring out the dog 🐕🚨—I’m sweating bullets, Of course, I try to hand them my mom (no offense, Mom, but you were giving me a run for my money at this point) and they’re like, Nah, we’re good. 😂 Clearly, they’re experts in reading people, because they wanted NOTHING to do with her. So yeah, I’m still stuck with her🙏

And then the drive home... where we saw an entire zoo cross the street like it was a bad sequel of Jumanji. Thank you, animals, for the opportunity to slam on my brakes and remove some rust. But, hallelujah, we finally made it home. My poor car, she’s a trooper. She survived too.
