Heading away for Christmas day!

We start a new adventure today. We still have the bug to travel so we are off for some Bali relaxation and a fast trip to Japan. Frog and Grant are ready for a few weeks of snow boarding and the girls will show Florrie the best of a week in Japan. We leave Darwin today having already celebrated our Christmas, but lucky to share the 25th with Pappy, Florrie and the Mays.Read more

It's like we never left.... We love coming back to Bali- seeing our Bali friends, eating our favourite food and swimming at our favourite beach. A new villa in Legian but back to our favourite Bali Bondi for our first dinner. It's wonderful to be greeted so warmly by our friends. Fern was excited to see ZeeZee, and Grant was happy to spend the night with his RDV mates.Read more

Bali rain on a sunny day

It was easy to fall back into the holiday way and our favourite Fresco filled our bellies ready for a beach morning. No surfboards travelled with us (I couldnt handle snow boards and surfboards on the same plane) and the surf was a bit wild so we opted for a swim only. Soon the rain was falling and the wind was blowing! An afternoon at Beachwalk and a night at Fat Buddha with ZeeZee for some chook shit bingo. The kids won (I have my suspicion that ZeeZee may have helped a little....)Read more

The laziest Bali day

Today could have been the laziest day in Bali for a long time. After Frog and Grant stumbled home from RDV at 3am, it was inevitable that it was going to be slooooow start. I think about lunch time Frog emerged. But the temptation of a mud crab at the 'Lokal' grabbed his attention and he made his way down. It was literally a day of eating and massages, and nothing more. Another day away from the beach which is very unusual for us! Too much wind so the surf is choppy and literally dirty. What better way to fill the day but with a few more massages and some nail art. Frog was counting down until the Mays arrived....
We had a great afternoon and evening on the beach with everyone- enjoyed a beautiful sunset and some Lusi Warung. I love watching the kids together over here in Bali- makes me appreciate quality friendships in our life.Read more
