Nature and Culture in Vienna.

We were lucky to have a warm day for our visit to Schönbrunn Palace Gardens. The avenues of trees are so beautiful and peaceful and gardens are huge. We met Mike and Janeen up at the Gloriette which gives you an amazing view over the grounds. The men went off to a concert and we wandered back down through the gardens and made our way home.
This evening we went to a musical concert at the Musikverein Wien. It's a huge, ornate venue with lots of stairs! The ceilings are beautifully painted and there are statues gazing down at the audience. We were entertained with The Blue Danube and bits of the Magic Flute and a very speedy rendition of Eine Kleine Nachtmusiek.Read more
