    Delphi and its archeological site

    We were walking to the Delphi Archeological museum when the rain came. It was not too bad, because it meant a fresh weather. The lucky part is that we could start with the visit to the Archaeological museum to see some of the sculptures and artifacts from the site. Especially impressive was the one of the Sphinx, but also the golden jewellery captured Elijas' attention. We continued into the ruins and found quite amazing the amount of places up the hill, including temples, a theater and a stadium, where important ancient games were celebrated - second after Olympia. It could have been the sports theme background that inspired the kids to practice some Kung Fu. After lunch we decided to do a local hike uphill from Delphi but had to stop before not too long because of the intense rain.Read more
