Rome and Civitavecchia

The eternal city Rome welcomed us, but that was not an easy task: we had to walk from the port of Civitavecchia to the train station, wait for 40 minutes for the train and drive 1 hour to Roma Termini. At noon we were just walking past the train station to start our sightseeing tour. Luckily Rome is an open air museum and we could enjoy the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Vittoriano Memorial, the Parthenon and the Fontana de Trevi in a rather short time. Alisa was very well behaved and helped us to get quickly through the heat and direct sun exposure, while Elijas stayed in the ship with grandparents. We rewarded ourselves with some real Italian ice cream, so nice that Alisa forced herself to eat her big portion. We managed to finish our tour just in time for our train back to Civitavecchia and then back to the cruise!Läs mer
