Camino Norte, Day 17 =>San Vincent

Easy day with 11 miles and 1365’ ascent/1380’ descent. We decided to split a Hard 20+ mile day into two days to catch up/recover, stopping in the “cute little town” of San Vincent de la Barquera.

More like a hilly seaside walk today. Beautiful, but not hard. And there was time in the mid afternoon/evening to see the town, drink, eat, rest. Better than arriving exhausted after 20+ hilly miles and drop dead on the bed. Need a break sometimes.

We keep meeting the same 20-30 pilgrims at different times/places who seem to have a similar itinerary with interesting stories and backgrounds.Read more
