Helmsdale

Further up the coast on the North Sea is the small fishing village of Helmsdale, where we stopped for lunch and had possibly some of the freshest and best fish (haddock) and chips we have ever had.

Helmsdale is on the River Helmsdale and was a very pretty spot that is well and truly off the tourist trail. The hills surrounding it are covered in the yellow flowers of the gorse bush. We also saw some interesting wildlife. Czytaj więcej
