This morning was another scenic drive from Cork through Waterford to the city of Kilkenny (pop'n 20000). Rolling green farmlands, villages, farmhouses, sheep, cattle, horse studs and old castles and buildings - the morning had it all. And it was a warm, sunny and cloudless sky.
Kilkenny, on the River Nore, has a 13th century Norman castle. The Normans were invaders from Normandy in France.Read more
