    We then left the French coast and headed for Aix-en-Provence. It was founded by Roman Consul Sextius Calvinus in 123 BC. He called it Aquae Sextiae, which means "Waters of Sextius," nafter the warm springs in the area.

    The town features plenty of springs and fountains and it is yet another town that we have really enjoyed.
