Near Sawrey

Today was spent walking around Near Sawrey, up to Moss Eccles Tarn, along Esthwaite Water and towards Hawkshead. We also visited Hill Top Farm, the home of Beatrix Potter, where she wrote the stories of Peter Rabbit and his friends. The home is as it was when she lived in it.

Being a Sunday and surrounded by sheep farms, the obvious meal choice was the lamb roast at the Tower Bank Arms.Weiterlesen
