Windermere & Orrest Head

Another day spent around Bowness and Windermere was a really good one. We climbed up to Orrest Head which overlooks the lake and the surrounding fells and enjoyed its views.

Then it was off to the Windermere Jetty Museum which tells the history of boating on Lake Windermere. We got there just as they were offering a motorboat cruise on the lake so off we went. We were the only ones on it and enjoyed a leisurely 30 minute cruise around some parts of the lake we didn't see yesterday.Read more
