Chiang Mai to Sukhothai

Up early and a quick breakfast before catching a grab to the train station. We got everything on board and settled into our seats for a slow journey to Phitsanalok

Six hours later we arrived and managed to get a grab to the hotel, an hour and a half away.

On arrival we checked in and realised how remote the hotel is. We set out on a 1km walk to the nearest shop for water and basic supplies. On the way we saw some captive elephants and on the way back we saw a dead snake. 🐍

After a refreshing beer we set out again to find a restaurant, the hotel doesn’t have one. The nearest one turned out to be quite nice and the food was tasty.Read more
